A father puts his son on the ledge, fifteen feet from he ground. Kid’s about six. The father asks the kid to jump. The kid shakes his head, afraid to make the move. The father tells him not to worry, Daddy’s here and Daddy will catch you. The kid swallows hard, clenches his hands and makes the jump. The father moves out of the way and lets the kid fall to the ground, cuts, bruises, scrapes, what have you. The father bends over and points a finger in the face of his crying boy. And tells him, ‘Remember one thing. In this life, never trust anyone.

Monday’s here again. Another different weekend for me. Sunday was the nike real run at sentosa. 10km with 3km of sand running. At first I was going to push myself until I couldn’t run anymore. Ended up the 3km of sand was the killer. But ok la, I ran 6km at least. For a person that haven been running for the past year, I guess its quite good already. The scenery was nice. I mean nice sea view and nice sea of legs, haha. Super lotsa girls at the event, so I must say the run was not a wasted trip la.

Worked out my timetable to catch all the gymnastics section of the Olympics Athens. Most of the events are in the wee morn, but I’m determined to catch them all. Sunday was the first event, so after the nike run, I went back home to watch it. The flips and the flares are super nice. Just this morning I watched the team finals at 130am. Japan won the gold. I was kinda touched by the way the japan team carried themselves. They were the last team to do their routines for the event, so it was a make or break situation for them. US and korea were 1st and 2nd already, so if japan were to make a good one, they will get first, if not third. Turns out that all the three gymnasts did not succumb to the pressure and gave near perfect routines. Definitely a scene of determination. Too bad the defending champions, china, did not make it this time, they finished 5th coz of some serious mistakes in their routines. Think I must catch all the gymnastics event. So nice to see. Last nite went to play soccer, ok ba, although never help much with the team, lost, but I had fun, so rather tired after all the running. Hope todae can go and break though, I still need to cut my hair and kazumi is at the workshop, hmm, I miss my kazumi~
